Backup Exec 10.1 33152 Error on Dell 2850 DAT72 single drive

I am running Windows 2003 on a Dell PE 2850 with an external Powervault 114 DAT72 on a 39160 SCSI card.

I am seeing the following error in the app log over and over again:

Adamm Mover Error: GetDriveInfo Failure!
Error = ERROR_NOT_READY
Drive = "DELL 1"
{42048C35-550C-40AC-8D0E-2E99B5FB93FB}
Media = ""
{00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000}
Read Mode: SingleBlock(0), ScsiPass(0)
Write Mode: SingleBlock(0), ScsiPass(0)

The drive appears online but does not do anything when I attempt to run an inventory or backup job etc.

Please advise.

Is the Dell PE 2850 a standalone drive or a library? Check if it is listed in the Hardware compatibility list:

The above list is for Backup exec 10d. What version are you using? In case it is compatible, install the latest device drivers:

http://support.veritas.com/docs/282974

If the issue persists, revert if there are any errors in the event logs in Windows.
