I am running Backup Exec 10 and after my Exchange server crashed, I Built a new system and re-installed Exchange 2003.
The problem that I am experiencing is with the Restore job. When I try to run a Restore on the Microsoft Information Store; First Storage Group, I get an error after about a minute saying,
"Final error: 0xe000848c - The job failed with the following error: Unable to attach to a resource. Make sure that all selected resources exist and are online, and then try again."
I don't exactly understand why I receive this message.. All of the Media that it is requesting is loaded into the tape drive. I've tried to restore the file to another location by using the File redirect and Microsfot Exchange Redirect.
The main goal that I am trying to accomplish is recovering all of the Exchange Users emails and public folders.
I have the server back up and running and emails working normally but any previous emails and public folders/files are missing.
Is there something that I am not doing correctly?
It is saying Unable to attach to a resource, does that mean the Server or the Tape?
I have found this article; http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH42421
..in the process of trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong.
If anybody can assist me with this, it would be Greatly Appreciated..
Thanks in advance!

Yes, I have also looked at that article and I believe that I applied the workaround correctly but same issue...
Still in the Trial and Error stage as of now.
