I have upgraded a site from backup exec 10 to backup exec 10d SP2
they are running on Win 2003 server SP1
Ever since then i have been getting what appear to be an intermittent failure of the job engine service.
The job engine stops at a random time into the backup job.
it has made it only a few seconds in and as far as 3hrs 30mins into the job.
Out of the 5 failures where the job engine has stopped 4 jobs have had a status of missed/recovered and 1 has had a status of cancelled.
Each time the job engine has stopped i have received the following event in the application log:

The faulting application is always bengine.exe
The module has been:
ntdll.dll - three times
catcommon.dll - once
bestdutl.dll - once
I have tried renaming the catalogues folder.
Running a database repair
Deleting and recreating the backup job from scratch.
When i look at the logs of the failed jobs they all say unexpected end of output.
and 4 of them stop just after saying the exchange agent has been started.
Is there a way to uninstall and reinstall just the exchange agent?
Does anyone have any further ideas?
