Backup Exec 11.0 Rev. 7170, Tapes become Cleaning tape

Hi,

I use Backup Exec 11.0 Rev. 7170 and a HP 5000 series Robotic Library with 2 SDLT media drive. My issue is the new tapes that I insert become part of "Cleaning Tape" Media Set. However, The labels remain unchanged. Also the same happens If I try to erase an already used tape. This really annoys me as I am relatively new user of Backup Exec.

Need expert's advise.

I had the same problem i selected the media and right clicked on the tape and selected label media and just clicked next and run.   I never had to actually change the name of the media, but for some reason this will remove the media from marking it cleaning media.

   Yep - that's what I have to do too. 
I'm using VXA media.
