Backup Exec 12.0 Rev. 1364 and Windows Server 2008

I have been asked to move our Backup Exec 12.0 software from a Windows 2003 server to a Windows 2008 R2 server. Is this possible?

If so is there a procedure available for me to follow?

If not can you recommend an upgrade path to accomplish the request?

BE 12.0 cannot be installed on 2008R2.

Currently BE2010 is the only supported version on 2008R2.

A BE 12.5 remote agent can be installed on 2008R2.

You would need to do the following

1) make a copy of the Data and Catalog directories under your BE installation directory

2) do an in-place upgrade your BE to BE 2010 R3 which you would need a new set of licence keys.  The upgrade is free if you have a current maintenance contract

3) upgrade your OS
