Backup Exec 12.5 Media Naming

Hey guys,

Can someone tell me how to get the Media Label to be the same as the name of the backup job (not to be B2D0000*), or  atleast name it as i choose.

You can go to tools-> options-> Media management. On the right hand side, choose media type as B2D and select a prefix of your choice. Default is B2D, hence the names of media for backup to disk folder starts with B2D.

Please note that this rule will apply to new media, existing files will remain unchanged. The column "next value" specifies the number that it is going to take next like B2D000.. x. And the digits can als be changed for the number following prefix.
