Regarding Backup Exec 12.5 with the latest updates (or as you will SP2), backupping the server in question CeSearchServer works fine. Restoring however fails to succes.
On the CeSearchServer Microsoft Search Server 2008 Express is installed, including Sharepoint Services 3.0 (WSS 3). One can save office documenten in WSS, but then off course restoring should work also, or else there is no need to back those documents up. To include the WSS 3 in the backup, one needs the sharepoint agent and so we do - recently bought.
Restoring a file takes up to 5 minuts and then notifies as failed. The log states:
e0008492 - Database Query Failure.
I have yet to determine why this error occurs On the site of symantec I did find some information about a problem with restoring, but the case was nothing alike.
All servers are 100% updated to their latest version, as well has their software.
