We used to use Acronis 10 on our server, we have moved to Backup Exec 12.5, we have uninstalled Acronis fully, but I am getting errros in my backup that BE cant start VSS and the VSS provider its using is "servername"\Acronis.
Now I have spoken to Acronis and they have said their VSS Service is nothing more then a service that uses the VSS writer, it is not a seperate VSS writer, but I cant get this to work.
here are my errrors

Backup- \\Iservername\Microsoft Information Store\First Storage Group Access denied to file Logs.

Error writing file data.

Access denied to file Logs.

I get a million of these

then this

Backup- \\servername\Microsoft Information Store\Second Storage Group V-79-57344-65055 - AOFO: Initialization failure on: "servername\ACRONIS". Advanced Open File Option used: No.

Snapshot provider error (0xE000FE1F): The device cannot be found.

Check the Windows Event Viewer for details.

and these 2 i just need to download some components which I will do today

Backup- VRTSRV::\\Virtualserver.domaina.local\Hyper-V?Virtual?Machine\CRM 4.0 V-79-57344-38722 - Could not find components to mount a VHD file. Please ensure that the Microsoft Virtual Server VHDMount component is installed.

Backup- \\servername\Microsoft Information Store\First Storage Group V-79-57344-4615 - To support individual mailbox message and folder restores from Information Store backups, you must download and install the Microsoft Exchange Server MAPI Client and Collaboration Data Objects package version 06.05.7888 or later on the Exchange 2007 server. This package can be found on the Microsoft web site.

On the system that is having trouble, open a command prompt and type VSSAdmin list providers.  What providers are listed here?  Is there anything for Acronis listed?  Also what happens if you try to create a snapshot manually in Windows?

Refer the following document if you exchange is in CCR http://support.veritas.com/docs/297185 . On the exchange server you need to install the mapi cdo client .
Also you can refer the following document http://support.veritas.com/docs/321184
Hope this resolves the issue
also have a look of the following http://support.veritas.com/docs/288777

Provider type: System

Version: 1.0.0.7

Provider name: 'Acronis VSS SW Provider'
Provider type: Software
Provider Id: {f782463b-33bb-4043-ad8d-60b728d26a6c}
