Hello everyone. I am a network person that has been pushed into storage networking and management. I have a Quantum Scalar i500 tape library with 2 IBM LTO4 drives and fibre channel connectivity. There is no FC I/O blade in the library. My (embarassingly) simple question involves hooking this library up to a server. Do I need a SCSI connection between the server and the library for BE to see the library? Right now the server and the library are both plugged in to a SAN switch. The BE server sees the individual drive, but not the library. Please forgive my noob-ish question, but I would appreciate any help you can give. Thank you.
