Let me give you a run down of my infrastucture then my question below.
I've got Backup Exec 12.5 on a physical Win2003 server directly connected to a Dell TL4000 auto loader via iSCSI. The TL4000 is also connected to the main 1Gb iSCSI network which our SAN is on. The BUE server is also connected to the main network via 1Gb ethernet.
My problem is that the verify speed on the backup jobs run quite slow compared to our old external SCSI LTO solution. On the old solution, the verify speed went up to about 5000MB/min.
With the current solution, the LT4000 does't really go above 3000MB/min. The funny thing is though, when I have 2 backup jobs running at the same time, both verify at about 2500MB/min!
Is there a way to speed up the verify speed or is that as fast as it can go?
