They don't send to all the recipients and the reciepients the notifications are sent to don't recieve ALL of the notifications. Any help?

Take a look at the Backup Exec install directory - for us it is c:\Program Files\Symantec\Backup Exec\

In there you should find some Name_SMTP.txt files (where Name is the name of the contact entered in BE).  These files list all of the e-mails that BE attempted to send to a recipient, so by checking the file you can determine whether BE is attempting to send the e-mail or not.  If BE is trying to send the e-mail then you know the problem is connectivity to the SMTP server.  Unfortunatly BE will only attempt to send the e-mail once.

We have a number of remote sites and our usual way round this is to install an SMTP server so that BE sends to a local SMTP server and that forwards to a smart host (Exchange in the central site). This way if there is a connectivity issue the local SMTP server will attempt to resend at a later time.

If the e-mail isn't listed in the file then it's either an e-mail routing issue or the recipient isn't configured to receive that report \ alert.

Hope this helps,
