Hello,

I've installed Backup Exec 2010 for a customer who's got an Oracle database they wish to back up. Before I can start taking backups of this database I have to configure the Remote Agent. No matter what I try i get this error message: "Unable to validate Oracle database credentials. Try again."

I know alot of others have this problem aswell, but from the posts I've found noone have posted a fix for this. Can anyone help?

I've used this guide for configuring: http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/310333.htm

Hallo,

I had same problem. Lot of other discusions, but no resolution. I solved that to manualy insert ORACLE instances to registry. This usualy happened when I have following combinations on one server Oracle10g, 9i and different version fo listeners.

My example: BE2010R3, Agent 13.0 - 2003R2x86 - Oracle10g and 9i

You shuld first check this before you use this one:
