Backup Exec 2010 job engine system service is not responding..

Hi, I just installed Backup Exec 2010 Trial (Good for 60 days) on a Win 2008 Enterprise server. When i tried to run my first test tape backup job, I got the following error: Backup Exec Alert: Job Failed (Server: "Servername") (Job: "Backup 00002 Test") Backup 00002 Test -- The job failed with the following error: The Backup Exec job engine system service is not responding. I also couldn't install Hotfix 344584. I wonder if this is related. I was able to inventory the tapes so it's talking to the Tape Library fine. Any help is appreciated. Tom

I think you're going to want to look into Backup Exec Server Edition. Here's a link to where you can download the OS compatability list:

I'm not aware of Backup Exec Server Editiion.  The ony version I see was Backup Exec 2010.
