Hi,
i have Backup Exec 2012 installed and a OVerland Tape Library with 2 Tape Drives.
Is it possible to use both drives at the same time in one Backup Job to reduce the Backup time?
Thanks

BE cannot write to two tape drives simulataneously with one backup job. If you have two jobs and two drives then yes. Each job can use one drive.
Can be put it in this way: " To use n number of tape drives simultaneously, you must have n number of jobs minimum."

More than one tape drives in a Library requies Library Expansion Option license.
If you have intalled that lincese, you should be able to use both tape drives at the same time.

No, it is not possible with backup exec even with LEO licenses installed.
Only way to achieve what you want is to split the job into two so that, both the drives can be used.
