Hi,
What would you like to know? Best bet is to start by checking the minimum/recommended requirements for BE.
From my side, I'd recommend the following:
1. Windows Server 2008 R2 as the OS on which to install it.
2. At least 8GB RAM
3. Installing your application on a separate drive to your OS (that's how we do it with all applications in our organisation).
4. Dual-CPU configuration, especially if you're using deduplication.
Otherwise, put down what you have currently, or what you're looking at and I am sure you can be advised on that.
THanks!

What exactly do you mean by Design Guide? is this something to do with the dev side? or UI itself?

Hi, I am interested to see how people have designed their environments. I am proposing an upgrade of 2010R3 which will include some new hosts.

I doubt if there can be a doc like that for Backup Exec, since there are so many different ways people would design their environments (just like Computer Networks). It wouldn't be wrong to say that almost every BE environment is different from the other.
