Backup Exec 2012

Hi,

we are using backup exec 2012 and have been using this to do backup of our servers.

recently we configure backup job to backup a server running oracle. oracle agent license has been installed on the backup server.

after doing some read, we notice that we need to add the oracle server name to the backup exec authentication list.

when we look at the backup exec setting on the backup exec server, there is no oracle option there to add server name.

anyone can advise why the oracle option is not there?

thanks

Was the Agent for Application & Database license just entered or did you proceed ahead with the license install wizard as well ?

Hi,

Did you push-install the remote agent to the Oracle server?

Thanks!

nope, we manual install the agent onto the oracle server.

on the backup exec server, we are able to connect to the oracle server.

when we create backup job we are able to select the oracle db to backup.

no issue with backing files from this oracle server.
