Backup Exec 9.1 not setting Archive Bit

I recently added a Windows 2003 64bit server into my backup enviroment. This cannot be backed up via BE9.1 so we are only backing up via Windows shares. This works however does not seem to setting the archive bit so our differentials are as large as our full backup. This only appears to happen on this new server.

Is there a reason why the archive bit is not begin set with backups via Window shares?

Do you mean that you map the 64bit drives as drive letters, then backup the drive letters?

If so, the archive bit is not getting reset, because you are not accessing the files through the Host OS.

According to http://support.veritas.com/docs/280008 64Bit RAWS is supported by v9.1 SP4a
