Backup Exec Remote Agent for Windows Servers service terminated unexpected

Brian_McMillan
Not applicable
One of our remote servers running the remote agent keeps terminating the service unexpectedly - at times when no backups are in progress. Event logs show Source: Service Control Manager and Event ID: 7031. As a result, if we don't notice in time, we get 'unable to attach to one of the drives' error messages at backup time (0xa000848c).

Since this started, we have updated the media server to 9.1 4691 and applied SP2 and hotfixes 47, 50 and 52 and pushed the install of the agent to all remote servers - so we should be up to date on patches.

Remote server is Win2k and media server is Windows 2003. Agent services are running as local system accounts on all machines.

Any suggestions?

As for error 'unable to attach to one of the drives' , we will troubleshoot it after troubleshooting the above mentioned error.
