Backup Exec Server Service stops when differential job at 99%

Situation: I have 2 differential jobs. 1 runs fine, but when running the 2nd, BE server service stops (console shows 99% complete) and logs the following in the eventlog:

Event Type:Error
Event Source:Service Control Manager
Event Category:None
Event ID:7034
Date:9/29/2005
Time:9:51:14 AM
User:N/A
Computer:SSGBACKUP01
Description:
The Backup Exec Server service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 3 time(s).

Situation (Cont'd):
Data being backed up is all flat file from mounted SAN volume. All jobs are run against the same volume, differing data.

My environment is:
4 way xeon server w/4GB ram
HP SureStore 2/20 (Backup Exec Library Option installed) with 2 LTO Gen1 drives

Any thoughts? I am putting this solution into Production this weekend and need to get this issue resolved.

Hi,

Does the beserver service stop on all the secondary servers?

Do you have backup Exec 10.0.5520 installed?

When you have a week long turnaround before a Mod looks at your question, you have time to figure it out for yourself.

Long erasing the media prior to all jobs corrected the issue. Short erase did not work.

Thanks for allowing me the time to figure it out myself. I learned something...
