Backup Exec Server service won't start

I have just installed BE 9.1 on Windows 2003 Server. When I start the software and try to log in, it tells me "Backup Exec Server system service is not responding."

When I click on the "Services" button and then "Start all services," it gets to "Starting Backup Exec Server" and then hangs.

When I try to manually start the service through the Services option under Administrative Tools, it tells me that Backup Exec Server started and then stopped.

I have installed service pack 1 and also installed MDAC 2.8, but it's still doing the same thing.

Please help. Thank you.

Hi ,

You can check that under internet explorer properties the setting for Default mail clent is set to Outlook (if outlook is installed).
