Backup Exec V10 SBS Edition service does not start.

I recentely installed a machine with SBS 2003 SP1, followed by veritas backup exec v10 sbs edition. After a reboot needed by veritas i found out the machine was unable to start the veritas backup engine service.

I get the following error:

category 65535
event id 57802


The Backup Exec Server Service did not start. An internal error (-536837662) occurred in object 11.

I tried the com security stuff but that doesnt make any difference. I noticed some more errors;

drwatson.exe:
event id 4097

The application, C:\Program Files\VERITAS\Backup Exec\NT\BkupExec.exe, generated an application error The error occurred on 07/14/2005 @ 12:10:28.453 The exception generated was c0000005 at address 03B3D633 (storex)

I installed two patches: be5484RHF24_275514.exe and Be5484RSP1_275248.exe but not luck either.

i'm pretty desperate and any help is much apreciated.

Oh, and FYI, i reinstalled veritas for 2 times now and tried a repair.

Hello,

You can try upgrading the revision of Backup Exec v10.0 to the latest 5520. Please refer to the link given below:
