Backup Exec could not log on to the server with the logon account specified for it.

hi everbody,

I have a problem on backupserver side.When I try take a backup (in DAG),I faced this error. You can see our error in below.

 

"Backup Exec could not log on to the server with the logon account specified for it. The logon account does not have valid credentials. Ensure that the user name and password are correct in the logon account."

 

Can you help me please asap?.

See if the logon account that you are using has the below permissions -

Ensure all the requirements mentioned below are met :
1. Backup Exec Account used for backup must have an active mailbox on the exchange server.
2. The mailbox should not be hidden from the Global Address List
3. Make sure the ID used by Backup Exec is added to the Organization Management group of Exchange Roll Based Access Controls (RBAC).
4. Backup Exec "Logon Account" is an explicit member of Local Administrators group in the Exchange Server
5. Backup Exec "Logon Account" is "Unique" inside the Exchange Organization.  See  "How to confirm that an Exchange mailbox name is unique within the Exchange organization when configuring Backup Exec to back up Exchange mailboxes"

8. Make sure the Exchange 2010 Management tools are installed on the Backup Exec server.

I checked your answers,but problem continue.Do you have an another  proposed solution ?

Try running the SymHelp tool on the media server and DAG servers to confirm permission requirements are set. Download link - http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH170752

Hi guys,

 

I try again backup in this morning,but I faced same problem,

 

"Final error:0xe0009b61

Backup Exec could not log on to the server with the logon account specified for it. The logon account does not have valid credentials. Ensure that the user name and password are correct in the logon account"

Do you have an idea ?
