Backup Exec job queued suddenly  and with a question mark.


I run a mass data(2 TB) backup job, and the job continue running 20hours .

suddenly , the job queued , and the job status shows queued , and a green question mark in front the queued.

The job goes in Queued state because not able to find the destination...
Reasons:
1  : The Destination (TAPE OR B2D folder...etc) is unavailable
2  : Asking to insert an Overwritable Media

Go to Tools-->Alerts and check if we have alert for "Insert an overwritable media"

...or go to the job, right-click and Respond to Alert and see what it says. If it's asking for overwritable media, make sure you have scratch tapes available, or format some tapes. Run an inventory and try again.
If it's hardware, you'd have an almost immediate failure, but you can verify your drive/s are online by going to Devices and checking.
