Hi All,
I have this error message :

AOFO: Initialization failure on: "Microsoft Site Replication Service". Advanced Open File Option used: Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS).
Snapshot provider error (0xE0008516): Resources specified for snapshot do not have any valid data on them. Check if files were deleted or renamed.
Check the Windows Event Viewer for details.

I've tried to resolve this problem in this site: http://eventlookup.veritas.com/eventlookup/EventLookup.jhtml?EvtID=V-79-57344-34070 and this : http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/275234.htm

But it wasn't workfull, so i someone can help me - please.

Hi,

-- Select the option "automatically select the open file technology" in backup job properties>Advance Open File Option

-- Create a separate job to backup the Exchange database without using the Advace Open File Option.

Additional Information :

Thanks a lot, but here is have to be the way to create backup by one job.
I don't want to create a separate job to backup the Exchange database without using the Advace Open File Option.
Can you help me to find this way?

Hello,

We recommend you not to select AOFO for exchange backups.

In Backup Exec (tm) 10.0, if the Exchange Information Store is selected in a backup job that uses the Advanced Open File Option (AOFO), it will attempt to make a snapshot (AOFO) backup instead of an Exchange agent backup.

In this situation, Backup Exec acts as a requester to the Exchange writer of the Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy Service. When the Information Store is backed up, Backup Exec requests the Exchange data from the Microsoft VSS Exchange Writer, which is already initialized. The Exchange Writer takes the snapshot and provides the Information Store data as a contiguous stream of data.

Thanks,
