We have a Maxtor external network drive used as shared drive how do we use backup exec 10.0 for win2003 to backup the data on this drive, do we need a special agent. When tried to back it up it need to install the agent on the drive as if it is a workstation?
Try taking a backup through "user defined selections".

I am having a similar situation with a LaCie drive. It appears in My Computer on the server as a networked drive, but I cannot find it in the selections list.
How do you use "user defined selections"?
While viewing the tree of objects in the available selections the "user defined selections" is grayed out. Any suggestions.
