Backup complete Vdisk on HP P2000 to tape

Hi,

We're using Backup Exec 2012 to backup our environment using the various agents. We'd like to know if it is possible to backup a complete Vdisk that is on our HP P2000 MSA directly to tape?

Hi,

No you can't. You can either use the AVVI agent to backup the VMs in their entirety, or the RAWS agent to backup files on those VMs only.

There is no way to backup the underlying disk structure at all.
