What might be more of a problem for that restore is you will need to match the version of Exchange to restore into and may need to construct an offline AD setup (Exchange Recovery environment) if yoru current environment no longer matches when the backups were taken. Which means you wil need good documentaion about the names used to configure AD and your Exchange origanization as it was when it was backed up. Method 3 in https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/823176

If you still have the same Exchange (and AD)  environment then Method 2 in that above MS document may be possible.

Note: You also need to know what method was used to do the backup (Info Mailbox Store vs Brick Level or perhaps both) and whether or not snapshots (AOFO) were enabled during the backup - as lots of limitations may apply if this was enabled. (no recovery storage groups for instance)

Unfortunately because GRT did not exist in 10D you cannot use the redirect to PST option which for GRT backup sets is the solution if your current Exchange version is newer than the version that was running at the time of the backup.

BE 10 is very old by now, and there have been a number of changes. In this regard, you may, or may not, be able to read those tapes as a result.

Have you made sure you've catalogged the tapes correctly, and have selected the correct date range?

Thanks!

...the other option is to duplicate the Information Store to disk, and use something like Kernel for Exchange to crack open the *.edb to get to what you need...

Thanks!
