Backup fails- Re-run Procedure.

Hello Guys,

I am using Symantec Backup Exec 2010 & 12.5.

Sometimes my backup is getting failed & when i tried to re-run the backup again for failed resource it gets failed again...

Now I use this resolution that, I do un-tick & tick again to the resource server & after this procedure when i re-run backup job it is completing successfully,

Can anybody explain why such kind of conditions are happening in Symantec Backup, Is Exec Server not able to ping to resource server,If yes then why only case is happening for 1 of the drive from resource server???

Hi,

If you supply the actual error # it makes it easier to help...your query is too broad.

Is your error on BE 2010 or 12.5? What OS is each media server running etc?
