Backup failuer and email notification

For some reason, every day the backup fails with the following message:

I have checked that the agents are runnings and also set to Startup with system. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hallo,

Pls check whether the Remote Agent service is running under the Local System Account on the Backup and Remote servers.

Also check whether the port 10000 is open on both the servers (backup and remote). Run telnet sessions on both the servers to check whether the port is open or not.
Backup Exec uses NDMP to communicate with the Remote agent. And NDMP by default uses port 10000.

Also in Backup Exec - Tools - Options - Network - Network card settings - choose 'use any available adapter'
