I am kinda of reaching my wits end I am hoping to get some sort of guidance.......IM DESPERATE!!!
I have a DELL Power Edge Box with an HP MSL 2024 Ultrium 4 Library.
The Tape drive is connect to the Dell Box Via Fibre.
The dell box is also connected to my SANS via Fibre.
ALL 2.4TB of my data is on the SANS
When I first got the tape drive I was able to back up 2.4TB of data (all large files) in 14hrs @ 4288MB/Min which was fine and I was able to finish before my users came in in the AM.
NOw I am lucky if I hit 2000MB/Min I seem to coast between 900 and 1300MB/Min.
The Tape Drive has been cleaned and I even got HP to change out the Fibre ports on the Tape drive.
I am lost as to what the heck could be slowing me down.
Any guidance would be appreciated....
