Backup of data doesn't start until several hours after the job is scheduled

Our backup is scheduled to run at 9 PM and the log shows that it does start at 9 pm, but no data gets backed until 4 AM. Is there a setting I need to change?

Hi,

Do you get any alerts in between 9 p.m to 4 am?

In TOOLS | OPTIONS | PREFERENCES, if "Display progress indicators for backup jobs" is selected, deselect it.
