Advanced Open File

Hi To All
My backup are failing and the error message I am receiving is "AOFO: Initialization failure on: "Shadow?Copy?Components". Advanced Open File Option used: Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS).
VSS Snapshot error. The volume or snapped volume may not be available or may not exist. Check the configuration of the snapshot provider, and then run the job again."

After researching the issue it tells me the I need to use the "Advanced Open File option Wizard.

When I run the wizard, I receive the following error
"The Advanced Open File Option does not appear to be installed correctly on \\Server"

I'm at a loss at this point and any help would be greatly appreciated!

When you install the Remote Agent on a server you must install the AOFO option aswell. They are two different components.
Push out the remote agent again but select the AOFO aswell this time.
Bear in mind you will probably have to reboot the remote system.

HI,

Do you have the license for AOFO?

If yes, while configuring the backup job,if you click on "Advanced open file option" , which option you have selected at the right hand pane?
