Hi, I'm running BE10.0 SP1 and Synthetic Backup with subsequent Duplication jobs. I wonder about the Backup job Byte Counts and have no clue why it differs.
Baseline Backup: 23 GB
Baseline Duplication: 23 GB That's fine!
Synthetic Backup: 16GB (Includes 5 working days incremental)
Synthetic Duplication: 46.7 GB !!!
Where are all those bytes coming from ???
All Backups are B2D, then the dups are D2T
resulting in B2D2T. Hardware compression is enabled on each single job and wherever it's selectable. Attached Tape device is an HP Autoloader ( LTO II ).
Any explanation why this is so different is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
