BackupExec 11d for windows , problems to backup Groupwise on linux box

I need to know if there a solution for that, because each time Backup exec connect to the Linux agent to backup Groupwise, it frozen all the mailbox during the backup, so the user cannot access his mailbox during that time.  In the netware network we used to have GWTSA who was running on the Groupwise server so we were able to backup groupwise with no problems.  SOmebody got that problem?
