BackupExec 2010 backup failed on Data Domain

My company just deployed Data Domain with BackupExec 2010. The backups had no issue to use local drive as media. The backups sometimes failed on mapped drive on Data Domain. Here's the error I got:

Backup- \\US311DMP001.integra-ls.com\D:
Storage device "Backup-to-Disk-Folder2" reported an error on a request to write data to media.

Error reported:

The specified network name is no longer available.

V-79-57344-34036 - An unknown error has occurred.

Anyone expereienced the same issue? If yes, how to resolve it?

Thanks.

Shaolin

You cannot backup mapped drives with BE because BE is a batch job.  You need to use the UNC name for the share.

Also, have you checked the HCL to make sure that your device is supported for B2D folders.  The HCL is below.

You might also want to run the B2DTest to make sure that there is no problem with your device.
