Hello,

Please elaborate the problem?

What backups are you taking? Are you backing up any remote servers?

Do you get these errors on the device? Please paste the exact error message that you receive from the job log?

Are you backing up exchange or SQL database?

Thanks,

Hello,

This seems to be a device related problem.

I
please check whether the device is "tested" in the list below, if yes then please install latest veritas drivers from the link below:
HCL for Robotic library:
http://support.veritas.com/docs/271383

HCL for stand alone drives:
http://support.veritas.com/docs/271382

VERITAS Backup Exec (tm) 9.1 - Device Driver Installer (20050115) - Includes Tape Driver Release (20041231) and Robotic Library Release (45) (Intel Only) http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/273853.htm

If not tested then please install latest manufacturers and then verify the result.

II
Please check whether the SCSI target id of the tape and changer is between 2 and 5.

Also the target SCSI ID of the changer should be less than the tape drive.

Also please check the device configuration with the help of the technote below:

How to troubleshoot issues with a Robotic Library or Tape Drive in Backup Exec 9.x and 10.0

Hi

Did you try and install the "Backupexec Device Driver Installer" remotely? I had the same problem but when I physically logged onto the server and installed it all went fine

Hope this helps
