First, we have Veritas Backup Exec for windows NT and Windows 2000, Version 8.6.
Also, we are running small Business Server.
Our back ups have been working fine for a couple of years. Due to some issues, I installed additional memory and an external hard drive. I changed our SQL backup to direct the back ups to the external drive and I allocated some of the Paging File to the external drive as well. Then,
I included the external drive in the backup set. Every since then, the backups have not worked and there are no error messages. I found an article that says if you add a lot of memory, then a Open File Option enabled back up will fail. We do not have the OFO. Any advice would be appreciated.
