Beremote is stops on linux machine

Hi 

I have installed the remote agent for linux server agent on my linux 5 Debian. Kernel version 3.0.0-1-686. The installation was successfull but the remote agent service will stop after few seconds. I have uninstlled and reinstalled the remote agent but when I start it  stops after few seconds. I found 2 forum links so can any body suggest or provide any white paper if kernel 3.0.0-1-686 is not supported with BE2012.

Hi,

Not sure on the kernel build, but Debian 5 is listed as being supported by BE 2012 for the remote agent installation. No details on kernel builds are given in the SCL.

Hi

Can you enable logging and paste the logs here so that we can comment on what is actually the problem. To run beremote using logging follow below steps

1) Check if already beremote is running or not using "ps -ef | grep beremote".

2) If already running stop the process.

3) goto folder /opt/VRTSralus/bin

4) ./beremote --log-console --log-file <location>

5) Once you see beremote stopping please get the console output in a file and log file present under <location> so that we can pinpoint actual error you are getting and suggest a solution.
