Buffalo Terastation

Hi,

We've set up a tape drive and Symantec Backup Exec to make a backup of our Buffalo Terastation.  The problem is that when I try to select the Terastation, I get a popup telling me that I have to reinstall the Remote Agent on the remote computer, enter a license number on the media server or use a different login account to connect to the remote computer.

Now, I'm also told by some of the support I've been looking at previously that the Terastation would need to be running Windows 2000, 2003 or be emulating either of those OSes, which I don't believe I can set up in this case. 

What would you guys suggest?

I seem to remember that with the Terastation, as you can't install a remote agent onto it, you have to set up Backup Exec to back up the shares (think you have to enabled backing up user defined shares somewhere).

You then have to add the paths manually, rather than selecting the shares from the selection list.

I know it's a bit vague, but hope it points you in the right direction.
