We have a Dell PowerEdge 2950 NAS with Windows 2003 Storage Server SR2 64-bit Edition installed. The server has a remote agent pushed via the Backup Exec server. My backup server is running Backup Exec version 12.0 Rev 1364 with Hot Fix 300287 and 300290 applied.
When I attempt to backup any files on the NAS the job hangs and I receive the following error:
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error!

The application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the applications support team for more information
When I acknowledge the error the job then fails with error V-79-57344-65072 (the link doesn't lead to any applicable articles) and the job log includes an "e000fe30 - A communications failure has occured" message.
I've taken this NAS down to bare metal and reinstalled the operating system twice. I've re-installed the remote agent every way I can think of. I've also uninstalled and re-installed .NET 2 and it's patches.
Any suggestions welcome.
