Can not install any hotfix or service pack

I am trying to install hotfix be4454rhf2.exe but everytime it will roll back with the message that it veritas backup was interrupted. I tried another service pack, it did the same. I rebooted the server and tried again but results are same. Any input please ?

1. find the error in Bkupinst.log located under \WINNT folder and let us know the exact error message.
2. which service pack are you trying to install.
3. We can further troubleshoot the issue based on the error message in the logs.
