Can't find hp Ultrium 448 under Robotic Library

Hello all,
We have an hp Proliant DL380 G4 server with windows 2003 SP1 on it. We've installed an additional one channel Ultra 320 SCSI card and installed an hp Ultrium 448 Autoloader on it.
When we installed Backup Exec v.10.0 build 5484, the drive appears as a stand-alone drive and nothing appears under Robotic Library. We installed service pack 3 and the latest driver update from Veritas but got nothing.
We've seen some support documents and tried some tricks but nothing worked. We get the 58053 and 58052 errors in the event viewer and we when ran the diagnostics tool we got :

Primary Inquiry "HP 1x8 autoloader 1.20"
Serial Number ""
Device Flags SCSI
Device State 1, Offline, ERROR = 0x0000007B
(ERROR_INVALID_NAME)

Also, we tried to change the SCSI ID from the autoloader itself but couldn't change a thing, it is now set on 5 (the default).

Please advice.

I had the same problem, but installing version 10d fixed the problem

Hello !

The same for me, installation of version 10d + updated drivers package solved the problem.

HP Ultrium 448 needs the BENCHMRK2 VSD driver but the inquiry string of the library is not listed in the VSD load table in versions of BE before 10d, although the BENCHMRK2 drivers are present.

Hope this help.
