I am a newbie at Backup Exec, so please pardon me if some of my questions sound too trivial.
I am performing a "Inventory" followed by a "Catalog" on one of our SATA Hard Drives. I can finish both the operations successfully, but cannot find the corresponding catalog files inside the default directory where catalog files are stored "C:\Program Files\VERITAS\Backup Exec\NT\Catalogs".. I am assuming that the files are created in the form "Media GUID".img and "Media GUID".fh for the corresponding catalog. Is that right ? If not , could you please tell me which files are the new catalog files.
I am using catdump utility to extract the contents of "img" files, but cannot find the catalog files for a certain catalog job I ran.I have also tried to search files by their modified time, but other files that are present within this date and time range have some other contents in their img files.
Could you please let me know if I am doing something wrong here ?
