Cannot add Sharepoint 2010 farm to Backup Exec 2010 R2

I am unable to add a Sharepoint 2010 web farm to BE 2010 R2: "None of the Web servers for the specified server farm could be accessed"

I verified everything that this article suggests.
http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/311191.htm

What else could be causing this?

Since I'm grasping at straws, I wonder if someone could confirm if Backup Exec 2010 R2 needs to be installed on Windows 2008 (R2) x64 in order to backup Sharepoint 2010, which is a x64 only application?

Thank you.

It turned out to be a permissions problem. The login account used to run the Backup Exec job did not have sysadmin role rights on the SQL 2008 R2 backend. Once that was changed the farm could be added.

To the OP--

Have you updated the agent on your Sharepoint portal as well?  You need to do this and reboot before it will enumerate the farm.

Yes, I installed the 2010 R2 agent on the Sharepoint portal as well as the Sharepoint sql backend.
