I have BEXEC 9.0 on a server with MSDE $BKUPEXEC instance. I would like to move to our dedicated SQL server and uninstall the MSDE instance.
Where do I configure the connection properties for BKUPEXEC to talk to SQL?
BKUPEXEC was installed long ago by an ex staff member, and I have no knowledge of the 'sa' password... I cannot *fully* manage it using SQLEM as \administrator has insufficient rights.
I need to change the account used to run the BKUPEXEC services from Administrator to another... so I need to grant the account SQL access. I am happy to move the SQL .mdf and .ldf files to our main server and grant access, but I dont know how to change BKUPEXEC to reference the 'new' SQL server
Any suggestions would be really welcome.
