Compatibility Question

Hello,

I set up EBS 2008 for a customer, we took their old server and loaded a copy of server 2008 standard 64bit. I know that the server 2008 native backup client does not support tape drives. We have a Sony sdx900v tape drive in the system.  This server has been converted for a data server because of the hard drive space it already has. Does 12.5 work with the Sony SDX900v and server 2008 tape backup?

I could not find any information and it was not listed on the hardware list, but I am holding out some hope here.

Being  on the HCL just means that Symantec has tested that device with that version of the software

if you install the mfg windows drivers, and NTBackup can see and access the device, the BackupExec  HW install wizard should see it and accept the installed drivers.
