Configure a job to restart when bad media encountered

Occasionally we have jobs that run and encounter some bad media. It doesn't happen often but when it does the backup jobs fail. I've got two questions.

Can you configure a job to restart automatically on bad media? Or have it at least pause instead of failing so we can put good media in?

The ideal option would be to have standby media in the changer's slots that would get added to a media set if it encountered bad media. Are either of these possible to do with BE 9.1?

Hello,

You can perform a test run before you run the job and then verify the result.

Or during the job you can select perform the verify option:

Thanks,

Thanks for the reply but neither of those articles will do anything to help when a job encounters bad media.

All I want to do is have a job either continue the current backup job if it encounters bad media (CRC errors) either by going to the next tape in the set or by asking for new media. A test run and verify do not accomplish what I want to do.

I've searched the knowledgebase and have found nothing about this.
