Connect to a Tape Library via IP

I have a Dell 124T Tape Library device that I would like to use as a backup device with Backup Exec.  I would prefer to connect to the device over ethernet cable to its IP address.  Is there a way to do this with Backup Exec or must I connect via the SCSI interface on the library?

you can only connect the library via scsi or fibre to the backup exec server, the NIC on the library is for remote management.
