Shall I create DB instance BkupExec in SQL Server 2008 SP3 before installing BE 2014 on Windows Server 2012 ?
But in the admin gudie it says:
When Backup Exec is installed into an existing instance, the automated master
database restore feature is not available. To recover the Master database, you
must replace it with the Master database copy that Backup Exec automatically
creates and updates when the Master database is backed up.
Not sure if can create db instance first.
Can confirm the feature selection is ok? https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/sites/default/files/SQL%20Selection.png

You must create the instance first. BE will not create the instance for you.

...install BE with SQL Express and then use the TN below to move the BEDB to the SQL server:
(Sorry for the long URL!)
Thanks!

If you know you intend to use a full SQL instance (either on the same media server or a remote SQL server) it is better to create the instance before installing BE and then specify this instance during the install.
Just remember we still recommend not sharing a SQL instance with critical production databases.
