My organization is growing rapidly and I need to delegate more tasks to other colleagues. Please could you give me a technote which explains how to create a "Backup Operator account". This account is just to provide read access to the Backup exec console, and to read the error messages (if any). They can then pass it on to other members of the team who have more access to the media servers.
Below is our configuration:
3 Media servers at separate locations - All Windows 2003 servers
Symantec BackupExec 11d 7170 at all sites
Autoloaders at all sites
Please could you tell me if there is any minimum requirements for the BackupExec console to work? i.e. does the user need local admin rights to run the Backup Exec console?
